Fantastic genuine sugilite necklace
The sugilite is of excellent quality (not dyed or oiled) with a beautiful color, natural and untreated, in this size and color a real rarity. This sugilite comes from South Africa.
The colors of the necklace range from bright purple to dark purple/black.

The piece of jewelry is wrapped on 49 strands with professional stainless steel jewelry wire (high-quality Griffin quality, made in Germany). The 49 strands make the piece of jewelry particularly soft and at the same time very stable.
The lobster clasp and the silver beads are made of rhodium-plated 925 sterling silver. Rhodium-plated silver does not tarnish.

Sugilite was discovered in the middle of the 20th century; its name comes from its discoverer.
The main location of the sugilite is in the South African Kalahari Desert.
This genuine sugilite comes from the original Wessel mine, but the mine has already been exhausted. Sugilite is a very rare gemstone.
Accompanying minerals (parageneses) in sugilite can be: Aegirine, albite, allandite, andradite, apatite, pectolite, quartz, richterite, titanite and zirconium.
