All the sugilite stones used are natural, undyed and unoiled.

Quality & workmanship
The necklace is threaded onto a high-quality 49-strand professional stainless steel jewelry wire. Due to the high number of strands, it is particularly soft and supple, yet remains very stable and durable.
The lobster clasp and all silver parts are made of rhodium-plated 925 Sterling silver, which has a lasting shine and does not tarnish.
Interesting facts about sugilite
Sugilite was only discovered in the middle of the 20th century and named after its discoverer. The most important location where it was found is in the South African Kalahari Desert, particularly in the area around Hotazel. The famous Wessels mine is now largely exhausted, making high-quality sugilite increasingly rare and sought-after.
Other places where sugilite is found include Japan, Namibia and India. However, sugilite from these regions is usually very small or weak in color and is not suitable for jewelry production. High-quality sugilite in intense color is therefore almost exclusively associated with South Africa.
Natural accompanying minerals (parageneses) may include aegirine, albite, allandite, andradite, apatite, pectolite, quartz, richterite, titanite and zircon.
