Rock crystal is the transparent variety of quartz. Hardly any other mineral is as timeless and versatile at the same time as rock crystal. With its radiant clarity and purity, it has always fascinated people.

The variety of rock crystal seems endless when you look at the inclusion quartz. From rutile quartz to rock crystal with inclusions of red hematite and lepidocrocite to water inclusions, the so-called enhydro crystals, rock crystal really plays all the pieces.
We are particularly fascinated by rock crystals with liquid petroleum inclusions from Madagascar or Pakistan.

Herkimer diamonds are another rarity. These are crystal-clear double-ender rock crystals that are unique due to their high purity and brilliance. The name actually only applies to Krisralle from Herkimer County in the state of New York. However, the trade name has also become established for equivalent crystals from other regions. They are also known as diamond quartz. In both cases, they have nothing to do with real diamonds, but the beautiful shine is remotely reminiscent of that of a diamond.
